Fed up...
...with horrible London weather. All grey and grim and causes the interminable journey from home to work to be even worse.
However, I'm all fed up in a nice way with a rather palatable chicken rice we made last night. Cooked the rice with some left over chicken juice from Tuesday's roast chicken leg dinner and steamed a couple of juicy free range breasts with tons of ginger, sesame oil, spring onions and salt. Blanched the beansprouts in steamed chicken water. Mixed up some steamed chicken water with light soya sauce and sesame oil and poured over steamed chicken and beansprouts. Added some cucumber slices. Spring onions in the remaining chicken water with white pepper for soup. And Bob's your uncle (or aunt as the case may be).
And the best thing is there's some left over for lunch today. Hurrah!

mmm! sounds lovely. and in just under a month we will be back in KL and able to tuck in to similar from the Chicken Rice Shop. I know they have chicken rice in HK but it isn't the same.
