Why is it beyond the ken of at least 50% of TripAdvisor contributors - and I have no doubt more, as I'm being kind - to spell the word 'definitely'?

I know it's defenetly irrational but I definately find it hard to trust a person who can't even get a simple thing like that right. Tscheh!

I've long been aware of Phat Phuc, the Vietnamese noodle bar just off the Kings Road, near Chelsea Farmers Market. However, I'd never been there because it's not in my usual hunting grounds and the name kinda put me off as I thought it was a bit gimmicky.

Well, recently, I finally went there as I was working in the vicinity and felt like trying something new (having been to the Chinese Canteen at South Ken station about a billion times).

What a revelation! It's great! Far from serving up greasy fried bog standard pseudo Oriental fare, the noodle soup or pho (for that's all I've tried)was fresh, fresh, fresh and tasty. The stall is a charming affair, located in a courtyard down some stairs off Sydney Street. Apparently shipped in from Vietnam by the owner, it was a little corner of Asia. The staff are smiling and amenable, allowing you to choose whether you prefer meat or vegetable stock and giving you the option of adding as much or as little chilli as you like to the dish. The day I went, they were out of change and were offering £1.50 off the £6.50 price tag. I had the right change so gave them lots of change but that is definitely the way to do business.

They only have outside seating, so best to go on a sunny day, or they do takeaway.

I will be back.

Went to a Cats dance workshop at Push Studios in Dulwich today. It was great fun and we all held our own, I thought. Well, I didn't drop down dead which is a big plus.

We had brunch at our age old favourite, Black Cherry. They are having problems obtaining planning permission to extend at the back, which means they'll have to close as they don't have enough space to keep going. Oh no! Where will we go for brunch? If there's anyone local who would like to keep the Black Cherry going, you can lobby Southwark councillors (i.e. sign a petition) here.

There's a great painting of a gun-toting panda in the window of Mrs Robinson, a local gifty/furniture shop. I am quite tempted to go buy...

I have had toothache for some several days now and it has been making me very disgruntled. It's going away now and I'm jolly glad.

Went down the road to the newly reopened Lane caff. Had their Medium breakfast with sausage, egg, beans, fried slice and some bubble, instead of bacon. All downed with a strong cup of tea and orange juice from a carton. Yummmmy!

Watching the BAFTAs and feeling about as un-actressy as I have felt in a long time.

Tore a ligament in my left calf about a week ago. Fortunately, it seems to have been healing quite nicely, with the aid of lots of glucosamine, chondroitin and arnica rubs.

I can't believe I only have 9 more days working with my boss of five years. It's quite sad but exciting to be moving to pastures new. Problem is, I don't know what to give her for having me work for her all these years, despite all the running off to act and such shenanigans.
