The agent quandary has been resolved. The casting agent realised they'd boobed and told my sole agent that they couldn't deal with her. I'm just waiting for the nuclear fallout now as she lambasts me for having more than one agent. I'd been dealing with her assistant all along, who didn't seem that quick on the uptake, so I suspect my actual agent doesn't know yet.
Anyway, I got the job and start rehearsals in January for 3 weeks. Hurray!

Congratulations! Is it a series? Are you going to be famous? Are you going to have the UK market in attractive Oriental forensic scientists all sewn up?
It is a series but it's a different case every week, so I'm only in the one episode. Would have been different if I was a lawyer because I think the same people play the lawyers every week. I hope I do have the market sewn up, although I thought the same about female Eskimoes and then a whole crop of other Eskimo pretenders appeared on telly.
but the first Eskimo was the best. Perhaps if you make an impact, they'll find the need to have you have their house forensic scientist (like the attractive female pathologist in Homicide).
Yeah or Bones on Bones!
Very exciting!
I still think you ought to review your agreement with your agent. They may have you by the smalls on exclusivity.

My agent did make me sign a contract, but she did know that I had another agent who passed me work every now and then and agreed reluctantly to it.
